1.. in neutral only one wheel spins, 2..in 1st gear both spins but opisite directions so far it points to no lsd 3.. if i put one wheel on the ground and try to spin it, it felt as if the wheel is locked up ...... now correct me if im wrong.. if its open diff shouldn't the wheel spin even if the other one is grounded? in gear that is
i allready did the lauch at 5xxx rpm and leaves two markschecked for the orange sticker, don't see any maybe its stuck on top? but i do see faded green sticker? oyeah and it looks like cooling fins on the back of the case..
i knoe its been asked frequently and did the search allready... just need to knoe if number test 3 is normal for open diff....
It is definately an open differential. Test 3 sounds normal. You are getting 2 streaks when dropping the clutch because You are on very smooth level ground. All s13 diffs have cooling fins.
BTW, please do not do launches at 5k rpms, unless you have a very good clutch and flywheel combo, as well as a well lubed transmission.
