Do the end justifiy the means???

i don't understand why there are people that spend a lot of $$$$ buying a car and modding it to achieve there own personal goal, 11's 12's whatever, and some other people that spend way less money and get there faster and easier.

Don't get me wrong, you or anybody? i'm proud of people doing the accomplishments they do, after all, it's how it works

"the more you can get for the little you can spend"

In my case people tell me to buy a VW beetle and live trouble free for the rest of my life (considering that a shop sells recontructed 1.6 lts. engines for around $60  )but i like the options of power windows, AC, speed good control.

Kick @ss what you have done, maybe someday i will be as fast as either of your cars... :ylsuper

i'm building an N/A Ka24e but haven't decided whether to use carbs or individual throttle bodies. if i were to tune the carbs for top end, how much would low end suffer? would it be streetable, or should i just tune for low/mid range power?

yeah, the only bad thing that i've heard about ITBs is that the initial tuning is a complete nightmare. i like carbs because i'm still kinda old school...and those things are freakin sexy!

ahem. no offense, but those times are bull****. unless you're running some tubbed-out drag car that weighs in around 1600lb or so, there's no way you will touch 14s on a stock kae. I have a friend with a vg30de, and with the over 200 horse that engine puts out he can barely crack 13. we're talking 13.97. there's no way to do the same thing with 75 less horsepower and call it a street car.
