Stock KA24DE what could I beat?

i wasn't tryin that hard...but i don't ever try really hard cause i kno that the stock setup ain't gonna beat that many cars...i'm waitin for the turbo to go in b4 i start goin after the bigger fish...lol

I have dobuts about the folks that claimed they beat FCs (2nd gen RX-7s) I had one and with a few things (headers, no cats, APex N1 single, intake, removed all emissions and accessories, uprated clutch) I would regularly walk Trans Ams and Z28s.

As far as the 240.....I have never even tried to race with it. Stright line is ghey.

i whooped a new mustang gt in a handling challenge. were sprinting for a round about i got in the lead and took the bend at about 50 mih. and the guy got nervious and hit the brakes. thank you HICAS!!!!

ok list time, neons upon neons, civics modded to hell an back, tegs, gsrs, turbo eclipses, na eclipses, ludes, every vw turbo, an pretty much an v6 domestic, if i left any out sorry havent been racin in a while. But o yea i didnt bother readin the rest of the post so if its an auto only race 18wheelers, if its a manual better kno how to drive it or id say stick to the geos

ok i've beaten civics ( but who hasn't) I beat what I believe was a mazda 626. a cavalier.i'm sure I could beat a non turbo vw jetta.( i used to have one.)there are many more that I can't remember.

^ I'm gonna raise the BS flag on this one. The drivers of the turbo DSM's need to go to driving school, b/c they are much faster even stock than a 240 with the ka.

^ here's a more realistic guy. the ka is not a performance motor out of the box. Of course they have potential like any motor in the world, but they are not fast out of the factory. Let's get real here folks. We got scammed, we should have had the ca and the sr stock. We gotta turd for a motor.

sorry altiman ive been a couple turb dsm's on the street its all bout the driver an i can kill them a good 3 cars out the whole, they cant make that all back up in 3rd gear.

Dam I am old. Hell when I was racing my mustang I raced Nova`s Pontiacs, Vegas, Chevelles, corvettes and comaros(womens car). Dam come to think of it I never raced a jap car! Back then Jap cars SUCKED!!

Drive a SOHC KA for a week, then drive your DOHC with an intake and exhaust (manual) and it feels like you have a race car. The 240 is honestly the second slowest automobile I've ever owned other than a 2.8 S-15 Jimmy. The fastest was an 85 S-10 w/ a v8. BUT I've never owned a car with such good handling from the factory. I can pull .9 G on stock suspension, but only for a second, and I love the neutral weight of the car. Hence the #1 (or 2?) car for drifting. I'll never sell the 240 cause it's so much fun, but a drag car it'll never be.

Silent, get real here. The tsi awd is a much faster car than our 240s are. The only way to explain you beating him was his inexperienced driving. As stated above, these are not drag cars.

i beat alot of people and i just have an exhaust k&n filter and an accel coil and my timing is all the way advanced. i beat a 626, fiero, about 10 hondas (evryone i raced), 2 s-10's, a ranger, gran prix, lumina, almost beat a 2003 kawi 500, and i got 1st place at the drags in my class and they were mostly v6's and v8's there was a mustang and a neon but thats all i remember there was so many i didnt keep track i was too pumped lol

Yeah...well i cant say that ive beaten nething yet cause im 15 and my 240 is unregistered for now....but ive learned that the KA has some power, and can easily beat my brothers friends 99 cougar...and you have to love the strips of rubber down my road:D
