dear all,

i am working on a friend car what is the best and cheapest way to turbocharge a ka24de, also is fmu reliable, what is the maximum safe power gain with fmu setup.

I wouldn't run more than 7 psi with an FMU and I would retard the base timing at the distributor for added safety. You'll probably gain anywhere from 50 to 70 horse power.

Don't do it with just the distributor. You need to address the timing map. Just retarding the distributor will still make it knock, and it won't last very long.

Safc is ok for fueling at lower power levels, if you've a wideband, but you will need a better fuel pump. Best is to get some tuning software and do it right.
