my stock 95 240sx is idling high when I come to a stop, which is weird cause if I am moving more then 5 miles an hour it is fine, with clutch in or in neutral, but come to a stop and it idles to around 2000-2500. and I noticed the TPS has two connecters on it but only 1 plug attached, but there is no other plug there. like someone cut it off or put the wrong TPS ect. a pic of how it is supposed to go would be awesome, along with any ideas and info. thanks!

Is the car a 5-speed or auto? Auto has two plugs on the TPS, if it's been swapped someone could have used a 5 speed harness. Someone could have just changed the throttle body as well. As far as the idle, sounds like the idle air control valve might be going. Check to make sure all the hoses are connected properly to the intake at the throttle body junction. The TPS might have something to do with the idle but it's hard to say at the moment.

ok awesome! the car was auto but got swapped to a 5 speed. that makes sense, thanks! and I will check the idle air control out, but I am going to bet it has something to do with the wrong TPS. lol with that do I need a whole new throttle body or will the right TPS fit on it?

Tps will fit right on, but 9 times out of 10 it's going to be cheaper and easier to buy a used throttle body with a tps already on it. When you put the new TPS on it has to be calibrated which requires an electrical meter. It has to be just right or it will really throw off the drive-ability so if you aren't comfortable with that kind of install, changing the whole assembly is another good option.

I am a Mechanic so I am totally fine with that. I am still learning a lot and have a ton of dumb questions but I can do all the work. :P a new TPS is only $40. but how important is it that i put the right one? as it is it runs good (I found a vacuum line caped that was causing the high idle)

Makes no difference, the extra plug is to signal the ecu for shifting purposes. That TPS will be absolutely fine.
