drag racing isn't really my thing, nor do I got any times for you but if your looking into improving you reaction time look into getting a practice tree. here is a whole page of them http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...DXL6A

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get over to the 1/4 mile track yet, but my best 1/8th mile time was a 9.44.

Bone stock, crappy Douglas dollar store tires, though I think I did have a drop-in k&n filter. I was pushing it too, I managed to nearly perfect my launch by the time I managed that time.

ooh ka24de btw.. and the best way to practice is just to get out on the track and run, run, run. not literally lol. but that'd save a bunch of money by not buying a christamas tree

I think that's a pretty good time for a stock KA. I had a friend who trapped around the high 80's mph and ran a 16.4 in the 1/4 his V6 mustang on regular street tires. My best time was a 13.4 at 105 mph, but that's with a SR though. What's your reaction, 60 ft, 1/8th, and 1/8th mph? Also what tires did you use.

Using a simulated christmas tree is not going to help your reaction. You have to go before the green because it takes time for your front tires to actually leave the staging lights to stop the timer for your reaction time. If you wait for the green to go, you would've already used up some time and probably left behind by the next driver over. Anyways, don't worry too much on reaction time now and worry more about your 60 ft.

is your car gutted or something? any weight reduction? i just find 9.4 to be a little fast for a stock ka. ive only run mine once na and i had a damn good launch and reaction time and it was a 10.1. on nitrous i run an 8.7-8.9 in the 1/8th mines not gutted or anything like that.

All stock, everything there. I don't know why it was running that fast back then and some of my friends even called BS on me when I told them it was stock after taking them for a run. My 0-60ft with those cheapo tires was a 2.1~ sec. I have the timeslip somewhere but that 9.44 was a couple of years ago, a lots changed and somehow it seems I've lost that power since I've started messing with cams and all. I've got a stock-ish cam setup right now, and when I get a new clutch I'm going to the track to see what I can do with it, but when I was running 248/248 my time went to like 10.29 I think, with the cam waaay off. I was embarrassed as hell that night. An SS trailblazer killed my a** with a 7.59 that night and I don't think he sprayed either

Reaction times have no effect on your ET. Just take your time at the light and work on your launch, unless you're into bracket racing...

better reaction times i would think would yield a better time. the less time your sittin at the line the quicker youll get down the track.

Not true alot of times the timer for the 1/4 mile track dont start until u move....... so what ever it is your still going to have the same time if u sit there at the tree and wait or if u try to get that reaction time

Exactly, you can have a 16.0 reaction time and still have a 15.0 ET.

Most stock auto 240's run 17's and even 18's. Most stock manuals I see usually run about 16's, so hitting 15's with a stock 240 is really good IMO. Stock 240's are slow as sh*t.
