ok basically my 240 overheats.

the coolant starts to overflow from the expansion tank and goes on tho the body and starts to smoke.

if it idles for like 15 min it will start to overheat.

i check the clutch fan and its ok. the thing is that if i turn on the heater and drive it will still get hot but will stay a bar away from H.

another strange thing is that if i drive it for a while like this the next time i try to start the motor it wont start for like maybe a day or two and then it will start.

could this be thermostat or a water pump and how can i test either or?
