Stock Ka-e vs. 89 civic hatch( ls b18 )

Hey everyone. Just got done going out and racing with my friend and my brother . First of all i'd like to say the my friend may have the fastest stock single cam ever. This things a freak. Its completely stock except a ricer muffler and an exhaust leak. My brothers car (cam car) is a 89 civic si with the ls swap with an intake and exhaust. Er... a non-VTEC b18 isn't anything to write home about. I think you have a slightly skewed perception of what fast is.

haha fun video, though. my integra had nowhere near as much pull as my 240 does. i think the ls makes almost 120 to the wheels.

yeah thats me kickin some *** lol, but he beat me most of the races but it was prety close in all of them, and yeah i dont know why my 240 is faster then all the other stock ka's out there, i beat my friends 240 and he had a cam and lifters

I have a good preception of what fast is. I never said it was fast, as in its a faster car then most, I've been in 11 second cars, I know what fast is, His car is a fast single cam... not compared to zo6 vettes or 300z's supra etc...

I bet mines faster, I beat an LS swapped 90 Hatch by way more then that, not saying that my cars fast, just saying that your friend isn't anything special.

one of my buddies had a kade that was for some reason way way faster then all the other stock ka's and he did a compression test on it and if im not mistaken his compression was like 200 or more...mabey im wrong but he was like " i think i have soo much carbon in the engine that its causing it to run better" who knows but...that **** was real fast..not really sure if that was why it was faster but who cares.

Static compression can be raised by a number of facts unrelated to compression ratio. My guess would be that his camshaft is out of phase or it was an unusual temperature outside.

hahaha, I'll give you that one, but still, most singles run like high 16's low 17's and the first time I ever went to the track to race any car was with my 240 and I went 16.2 (not much to brag about), but tell your friend to go to the track and then I'll make my decision if its a quick SOHC.

yeah I agree with glacier on that one show some slips. I have seen some good money spent by honda folks and they wont even try my na ka,before my tune. Yesterday in the rain a lil acura pulled up like he wanted it and just slowed back down. I even get that from most people with v6 and 8 I geuss they think it so loud it must be fast. Or people like glacier f'n em up with the ka t's

If your brother's hatch is a LS swap, your friend's SOHC is pretty fast for a KA. I gotta give it to him. Props.
