i got a big 28 in my car and i just started running 12psi. Just wondering how lean im running and is this an overkill on my engine? I have stock injectors, sock mafs and no safc. what should i run my gap on my spark plugs, i had them around .38 and it kept busting the white housing

depends on how you're driving it. hard: you're in danger. Just cruising around it probabaly doesn't even make it to 12-14 psi. I know because that's where I keep mine and only open hard occasionally. Just changed the plugs a couple of weeks ago after over a year and they were fine.

If you know your running lean, why do you continue to run it at that level?

12-14 on a T25 shouldnt. I wouldnt run over 10 with the big28. get a wideband so you really know how your engine is running. before i got mine, i knew my engine ran rich, but i had no idea it was below a 10.0 untill i got the wideband and tuned my SAFC.

at 14, with the t25, you're already nearing maxing out the injectors. bad idea. besides you're pushin the turbo a bit harder than it's supposed to. do you have a fmic? otherwise you'll also heat soak the smic.

Still? As in you've done this more than once? It's a good thing these engines are strong and can take continual unnecessary abuse. Otherwise, there would be a lot scrap metal lying around.

bunch of noobs... if you would actually SEARCH your suppose to gap your plugs below .029. .038??? im surprise you can actually drive with that gap! and if your running 14 psi on the t28, thats not good. 14 psi on a t28 is not the same as 14psi on a t25. SEARCH

i think too many of us like to say we make big numbers at the expense or reliabily and proper tuning. We run lean cause we get boost crazy, and then we tell everyone our motors suck because it blew out in two weeks.

im going to go cut a whole in my hood and put a t88 on my car. I think i will run the stock injectors and pull the actuator vacuum line for infinite boost. Ill remove my intercooler and pipe the turbo directly to the throttle (who needs dense air) duck cause shes gonna blow

SR20det-ecian suicide!!!

I think its more of people know they are running close to the limit, but no1 knows exactly where the limit is. these people dont want to destroy their engines for speed, they just want to have the power that the engine is capeable of. My advice to every1 is run low boost until u can get a wideband or go to a dyno. I will soon be going to the dyno to see where AFR is with my t28 but until then i wont go above 8psi...PERIOD.

dont just ask "whats the limit"...go find out the right way. Remember, every car is slightly different!
