Did a search and found 2 threads and the question wasnt answered in either. I have an apex-i 1.5mm, and an OEM headgasket. The OEM as I recall measured out to 1.14 (not 100% positive its been at the machine shop for awhile) that is uncrushed btw. Listed on phase2's site where I bought the apex-i it was stated that stock is .8mm. The reason this is important to me is I had to deck my block .021 due to a decent gouge in the firing ring. Nissan FSM does NOT list a stock HGH unfortunately, however it does list a maximum of .2mm material removed through resurfacing. Also I dont recall it listing a valve clearance. Basically Im looking at .021" (.533mm) removed, and a 1.5mm headgasket with .2mm resurfacing allowed according to nissan, and I want to know if I will have valve clearance and how my CR will be affected. Without an accurate number for HGH Im lost with the variable. Anyone have a reputable source of information or just happen to know what it is?

BTW: know I spelled height wrong in the thread title but I cant fix it.

i once calculated my HGH by putting in the chamber volume, piston dish, etc and solved for stock HGH. i came out with a figure i rounded up to 1.1(it was very close but i cant remember what it was). all that was with a chamber of 44.xxxxxxx cc a piston dish of 14.xxxxxxx cc and a stock compression of 8.5:1(magically right on the dot).

so, no i dont have it exactly but i would say that the stocker is right around 1.1mm. i had to shave mine a hair too. should be ok.

That is great, thank you very much. Maybe now since that is put to rest I can get myself back in gear and get this all finished hehe.

DE's have 0.8's

DET's have 1.1's

Metal headgaskets don't follow the same properties as the OEM style ones for determining CR. Difference in material compression, or so according to Tomei.
