Has anyone done this? I'm trying to get the g35 purr. I did a muffler delete and it's actually pretty quiet. I want it to be a little louder

the g35 (DE) stock ypipe is the same as our M's... you can use the g37 (HR) ypipe as well. I've used many ypipe set ups.

the g35 'purr' you're trying to get won't come from the ypipe - I think it's the actual muffler (with it's special baffles and internals)...

I think you're local in So Cal, I have the stock ypipe (g37 - HR) that I'm looking to sell. I will be keeping my stock ypipe so when I get ready to sell the car, I'll put it back on. I currently have the Megan set up for my ypipe, mid pipes and then into my stock mufflers with larger tips. I took off the Megan mufflers (blue tips) and have them in storage.

I see, thanks for informing me. Do you know what's the largest diameter dual tips we can fit on our cars?

no prob... I think 4" might be the limit. I currently have 3.5" tips and it seems like I have room on each side. The Megan tips are 2.5 to 3" I believe, I can measure tomorrow...I'm looking to put the burnt tips on my stock mufflers...my exhaust guy can weld them on for me.

my current set up gives me that nice 'g35 ish' sound... I have the version 2 ypipe from Megan (it's like the g37 HR, but bigger diameter). I posted my set up somewhere on here

I think once you open up your midpipe section, you'll here the difference.
