Just to let you guys know, I'm running the stock pump, broke my Holley...long story, It runs great at 12 lbs of boost with 45 psi base pressure. I'm using 42lb injectors and a huge rail, and the pump is doing a fine job. My AFR's are 11.3 till I get over max torque, about 4500, and then I leaned it out myself to run 12.1 up to 6500.

So if your not using a FMU, then the stock pump is good for quite a few lbs of boost.

Just figured I'd post the info...the "must replace the fuel pump to run boost" theory isn't as strict as we thought.

I also ran 15 psi on my Skyline with the stock pump, everyone said I couldn't do that either, did it for a year.

S14 fuel pump is significantly better than S13 fuel pump...

I have seen stock SR's lean out at stock boost with OEM S13 pumps...but I've seen an OEM S14 pump run ~12psi on a KA-T.

Should be noted...this *may* hold true for S14s, but DO NOT attempt boosting...espcially using an FMU...with a stock S13 pump.
