If you put a nismo exhuast or any exhuast.. will the performance of the car decrease? Some cars such as honda and acura I hear have exhausts that already maximize their performance so putting any aftermarket will lessen the performance. Is that true of the altimas?

No with this car you will absolutley increase hp and tq with an exhaust swap. If you increase the size of your piping to much, over 2 1/2 inch diameter, you will start to lose backpressure. Something import/smaller engines thrive on.

Its great! Love the sound. No drone and holds a perfect "G35" style note at 3500 rpms and sounds throaty during low rpms. The rest of the time its at a european style sound escpecially at WOT. I am trying to get a new video of it for you guys cause the cars got 3500 miles on it now. But its been raining every day here in the LA area so i haven't been able to pull it off.

To the OP, your right in the fact that manufacturers tend to tweak the systems to perform fairly freely out of the factory. When you install a new system the diameter is typically larger, but you don't want to go too far like adidas said. Even larger diameter's are usually reserved for forced induction applications.
