Stock 2000 I30 Exhaust Diameter?

One of my exhaust hangers broke and it keep making a s**tload of noise when I go over bumps. All that happened was that the weld broke holding the hanger onto the pipe. So my friend took it and says we can put a clamp onto the hanger to secure it to the pipe. But I don't know what diameter the pipe is. The hanger is the one right in front of the gas tank. I know the proper way to do it is to weld it back, but with corrosion on the hanger edge, and that I'm a pretty broke college student, this seems to be a good fix for the moment. Thanks!

I think it's like 2.25 or 2.5".
