Basically, I blew my motor, and I have another one ready to put it. It's a 95 240sx which means Ka24de, and I have another ka24de motor to put in it. One problem, I have NO clue on how to take out the motor, if I was able to take out the motor, I can most certainly put it back in.

If anybody could help, it'd be appreciated, like where do I start? I have all the tools, engine lift, and everything, what all would I need, what do I take out first, etc etc?

If anybody could link me to a guide, or you know how and could make a good complete guide for me, I WILL PAY $$. The only reason I won't let the shop do it is because they're trying to charge like a grand.

THANK YOU!!!!

I found a pretty nice guide, can anyone verify this for me? And also, are there any other things that are not mentioned in this guide that I must do?---------------------------This is is how to Remove the engine and transmission out of an S14 by yourself haveing never done it and doing it in less then 3 hours.

1. Remove engine undercover2. Drain Radiator (plug is on driver side bottom3. Drain engine oil4. Remove air intake assembly (unplug wires as needed)5. Remove Radiator shroud6. Remove Fan by removing 4 8mm nuts from back side of fan7. Remove 2 10mm nuts holding radiator in from top8. Loosen the 2 radiator coolant clamps (10mm) and remove both hoses (top first)9. Remove transmission coolant lines for those with auto tranny10. Remove battery from car11. Behind battery you will find a 12mm or 14mm bolt that goes in by the alternator facing driver’s side loosen bolt12. If previous step did not cause belt slack for alternator then loosen more and use force to get slack in belt13. Remove Radiator14. under the driver side of the belt assembly you will find a small pulleyand behind it another bolt loosen this bolt out about 1/2 inch then hit bolt with hammer until there is enough slack in belt to remove.15. Another bolt is located behind the ac compressor repeat above step to remove belt.16. With al belts off take lower bolt out of starter and take tightener assembly off and remove starter17. Unbolt power steering and sit the unit inside the stock air box18. Unbolt ac compressor (NOT THE LINES!) and tie it right below power steering pump19. Now starting with ground wire on drivers side of engine next to exhaust manifold start removing wire harness, wire harness should be able to be thrown over the side of passenger fender when done.20. Unplug harness from fuse panel and disconnect any other wires that hold engine/transmission to car21. Remove motor mounts using a 14mm deep socket you can take them off (two nuts)22. Now go inside car remove trim around gear shifter and take out two screws towards front of console and 2 inside rear of console and remove console.23. Loosen 4 screws holding down copperish plate below shifter.24. Remove shift link on auto tyanny’s that attaches shifter to transmission should be a rod about 2ft long (removes w/ cotter pins)25. Crawl under driver side of car. Remove 2 12mm nuts from center of transmission cross member and break loose the other 4 16mm bolts that hold cross member up and remove 1 bolt from each side.26. Unbolt exhaust from header then unbolt hanger right below driver’s door (recommend letting WD40 soak on the front bolts while removing the support bracket27. Remove center bracket for drive shaft and then remove rear bolts and remove driveshaft28. Support transmission and remove other two 16mm bolts29. Before lowering transmission at all go back up front put engine lift (cherry picker) in place and support motor weight.30. Remove the motor mount metal bracket from the engine block on both sides.31. Lift engine and transmission at roughly a 35 degree angle 32. Smoke break

yeah, that sounds pretty good. Just detatch and drain everything, then get the transmission mounts and the engine mounts and lift er out!
