stock cooling fan CFM rating (240sx)

what is the stock CFM rating for the mechanical fan on the 240sx KA? im wanting to upgrade and i want to either get a set of altima fans if their CFM rating is at or better than the mechanical CFM rating....OR...theres a guy selling Volvo 16" fans rated at around 3000CFM. thanks for the info.

hmmmm, not sure. i have seen numbers on the wonderful web in the 1600 cfm range but i am really skeptical about the accuracy.

yeah, that sounds VERY small. anyone know for sure what the mechanical fan can pull? i wanna upgrade to some altima fans, but i want to make sure they out perfrom the stock ones in cooling since its SUPER hot here in texas.

stock is only rated for like 1625 when it's new.

I upgraded to the Flex A Lites in the S13 and love it here in Houston. Car never gets hot.

wow, so 1625 is the stock rating...thats WEAK. i guess its time to upgrade. i was looking at the Flex-a-lites, but im on a limited budget, hence the altima fans if i can get some. i might try seeing if someone is selling a set of the flex-a-lites on ebay. like i said, i found those Volvo 16" fans that pull something like 3000cfm. and they're cheap.

when my car goes back together she will have the dual fans out of a j30 maxima. that will be sitting on the radiator from a l31 altima(2.5liter).
