did the stock coolant return go across theupper part of the head, or the recessed bottom that lines up with the block?

i got mine going across the top, which may be a bit cooler? but not sure about clerance with the firewall

should i move it down to the lower part of the head for clearence?

this is what i have now (update on my cardomain site as soon as i replace one of the hose ends that broke during install)

You have it in the right spot, across the upper part of the head. Their won't be any clearance issues, just be careful not to tear it up when your dropping the engine in.

for the coolant feed line. how hard is it to get to when the motor is out of the car? Anyone have pics of the intake manifold side without the intake manifold.

everything is pretty easy to get to with the engine out

the coolant feed is on the exhaust side (the one at the back of the block)

the coolant return is the one that crosses the back of the block and (stock) goes to the back of the plenum

i have the plenum cut out of the circuit, and the coolant return goes straight to the collector

both are pretty easy to get to even with the mani/turbo still on (depending on what kind of mani) and plenum still on

on mine, i may move the lines down, because the stainless line is alot thicker than the stock coolant return hardline
