I have a 06 350z. The clutch is done on it and I am having mixed feeling about witch clutch I should go with, should i go with the nismo clutch or stick with the stock one?... is there another brand of clutch that i should consider ? Also, does anyone know any shops or places in toronto/ontario that can order Japanese parts ?

Welcome to Nico! I would suggest Nismo if you like Nissan parts. I am also in the market for a new clutch, after extensive reading and researching I have concluded to get OS Giken. I am looking at their Super single clutch since I can not afford the multi-plate clutch systems.

I suggested the JWT clutch. You could also add the JWT lightweight flywheel for a little more pep.

I have no experience with OSG or JWT clutches, but I have destroyed a Nismo, they suck, I've had good luck with Competition clutches, southbend and act

I agree with bmike. OS Giken is always on my wish list.

Edit: I'm not sure about OSG but I am fairly certain the JWT flywheel has a replaceable contact surface which is a plus. I have never heard a bad word about either companies. OSG just seems to involve alot more technology and R&D into power distribution

Keep in mind that in general, a lighter flywheels will change the amount of rpm drop between shifts. In other words, the rpm will seem to float more (not drop as fast) as you press the clutch to shift from one gear to the next. I don't like that aspect, so personally, I always stay with the stock flywheel in my cars._________________________________tips: always check fuel pressure regulator

I have the JWT lightweight flywheel and clutch package on my Z. And the flywheel does have a replaceable contact surface.

I never really noticed that in my Z, but then again its not something I would look for either. The biggest difference I have noted is that it does accelerate a bit faster because of less rotational mass. But on the downside, it doesn't slow down as fast due to the same reason. Not really a big deal, but when my club is doing canyon runs I definitely notice I have to use my brakes more than I would like......So big brake kit in the future....I think so
