Damn I read somewhere from a previous search about using the stock clutch fan in an RB swap. But I can't find it again, I think all the forum rearranging is the reason.

i've searched for stock fan, clutch fan, keep fan in post bodies and topics in the rb forum?

Anyhow I believe it involved using the KA clutch-fan or the fan part or the clutch part, and then a 10 mm spacer somewhere.... but I can't find the exact directions.

everything I've ever read or seen about swapping an RB into a S13 or S14 says and shows that there is def not enought room for a clutch fan. You have to go electric and depending on what mounting method you went with depends on your clearance. I've heard some ppl say that can't even fit fans in the engine bay and have to use pusher on the front of the rad. I plan on going with the twin 12inch permacools, like everyone recomends, plus a pusher on the front

If its an RB20, I've heard you can take the stock fan off the clutch from the front, then put it on from the rear. This gives you the clearance you need in the front. You may have to trim the tips of the fan a little to clear a pully.

But this is only something I've heard and I haven't tried it yet. (but i will)

Im i think i can get my clutch fan to fit....do you guys think I should run 2 efans on the front of the radiator(pusher), and 1 clutch fan as a puller. or do you think it'll restrict my airflow?

btw i have a fmic...

Well, it will work definitely, if you can get the clutch fan in there. But the main problem is making a GOOD shroud for the clutch fan.

You can't just slap a clutch fan on a motor and call it a day. There has to be a shroud to allow the clutch fan to "pull" the air from the front of the radiator, so that the air moves through the fins on the radiator, cooling it down.

I know that on my RB26 swapped S14, there is NO way in hell I could get my clutch fan to fit in my engine bay.

the oem fan is physically driven by a belt on the motor. how can you possibly turn it around and make it a push style??
