They pull the air through the radiator, how would it work efficiently as a push fan from where it is?![]()
Do I need to explain this further?
I just got my mishimoto radiator, and picked up one of there 12" fans from my friend for dirt cheap, oh and the fan was destroyed during the rebuild so hey, less parasitic drag and alittle more go!S13AL wrote:Why are you switching to electric?

A honda owner gave me the idea......S13AL wrote:There is no such thing as a fan that pushes air through a radiator against the flow of air going through on the other side. Air only enters through the front it doesn't exit. So, I'm not sure where you got the idea that a rad fan is supposed to push air out the front of the radiatior.
Yes. but, the air is still being pushed in the direction that it is supposed to go.-RJ- wrote:Dont they sell pusher fans that go in front of the radiator?

I guess you're no better than a Honda owner then?lovemy89240 wrote:A honda owner gave me the idea......S13AL wrote:There is no such thing as a fan that pushes air through a radiator against the flow of air going through on the other side. Oh wow.lovemy89240 wrote:Does the stock Clutch fan on the 89 240's push or pull air threw the radiator?
I'm trying to figure out which way to run my electric fan...

I'm trying to figure out which way to run my electric fan...Dude, if you know the stock orientation of the clutchfan is 'behind' the radiator, why would you ask this question? I don't know of ANY fans that push air through the radiator from behind (thus counteracting the natural airflow while in motion) ... seems a bit inefficient, right? This makes me worry ... please stay away from my car.

I did, and it still makes me worry. Is this supposed to explain that you knew the answer prior to asking this question? In that case, you should have educated the Honda owner and never have asked this question here. I'm not being rude, just really confused as to your objective here.lovemy89240 wrote:READ
