I just bought a 1997 q45 and it has the stock infiniti car phone with the microphone mounted on the dashboard in front of the speedometer. I unplugged the phone and was curious if their is a way to use the microphone or any of those components for anything like bluetooth or something similar?

Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Welcome to NICO!

I have often wondered the same thing, and plan to try it if I ever buy a new head unit with Bluetooth - like Pioneer's AVIC. I don't know if the stock microphone's impedence would be similar to an aftermarket setup or even how to measure it.
