stock bumper improvment

hey its been a while since i last posted. i said i was going to have my plate removed and bumper holes filled. its been done, my insurance payed for a re-paint, so, I gave the bodyman 50 bucks CDN cash out of my own pocket and the holes are gone. nice n clean-the car. recomended muchly. peace -Sean

yea im curious to what that looks like as well. I took off my front license plate and those two little holes dont look to good. I wonder if bondo can do the trick? I've never really used it before , but have heard it cracks and **** after time. Any suggestions?

I think its gotta be somewhat similar plastic to expand/shrink in heat/cold or it will crack.

when i got my '91 it had the stock bumper but no holes. i was a little curious about the legality of that... maybe i'll check and see if i can tell if there were holes once and they were filled. anyone know if some bumpers came holeless? btw the car was originally sold in texas and was brought to california in '99. i got it in '02.

i see these ricers that don't want to drill holes in their precious combat body kits so they take their front license plate and put it on their dash near the windshield...

i heard that it is obligated by law to have then license plate on the front and the rear of a motor vehicle. There is a small clause though that exempts ppl who are getting new bumpers or getting new license plates.. If you put it on the dash thats only suppose to be temporary but youll have to put the license plate on the fr bumper later on. I just replace my front bumper but it didnt have anyholes in it. Do i have to have my license plate on the front bc my doesnt have holes. I bet i could just say im having someone else do the job for me but i havent done it yet. but what do i know haha.

yea, you can still get a ticket here in Cali. I got one for not having one in he front. The holes in my bumper are meant for J-spec plates so I drilled 2 more holes in my plate and bolted it up the holes provided int hebumper and core support... now my plate is all slanted but I won't get a ticket though.

thats stupid. you dont have to have plates in the front here in Georgia. what would that help having a plate in the front?only thing i can think of is if a cop sees you speeding going the other direction and there is a cop further down the road on your side.

you use plates? I knew I was forgetting something! I stick mine in the windsheild but take it down on the expressway in case i pop the photoradar, no plate no ticket no problem.
