The DV leaked air under cruising conditions, like if I wanted to stay at a constant speed, say 50 mph. The car would "stutter". Then I would either have to let off the gas completely or give it more gas for the problem to go away.
One day I decided to remove the valve completely and all my drivability problems were cured.
The valve also doesnt like it when you run high boost as it leaks even more.
You must have had a lemon bypass valve. I do constant 14 psi on it and it does not leak. No problems at all. Been using it for a good 2 yrs now.
