stock bose stero problems ?

I have had this problem since i got my 01 path le used I have owned 2 other paths with the bose stero and an altima with the bose stero and never had any issues. the radio works but the reception is bad lots of static and the amp for the sub does not sound like its working the seperate cd changer on the bottom does not work either says err on the screen . I tried following the directions on the how to section to remove trim but after prying on it for 10 minutes i thought i was going to break it any help on were to start would be great .

Sorry, cant help, Im sure others will chime in! I have the stock Bose with single CD, been getting a few CD err's also. Not sure if it was a scratched disk. Been considering replacing the deck as well but money tree still hasnt sprouted.

Does anyone have a link to any good threads about replacing the stock Bose stero with a good aftermarket stero ?

Here's a guide on gaining access to the stereo cluster. For wiring an aftermarket head unit to the stock Bose system, you'll need a line output converter like this item to properly maintain the stock Bose speakers.
