nissan replaced them with ball-bearing turbines and a different cam profile. the idea was to keep the same hp level but increase the tq to offset the increase in weight. the r34 tubines spooled faster, but they were still ceramic. factory boost was still 0.7 bar with a recommended limit of 1.1 or 1.2. not sure on the Nur spec R34's.Count Zero wrote:I had heard that the R34 motor replaced the ceramic turbos with steel-finned ones.
