I was curious as to how much boost pressure the stock SR motor can handle. Some how my Profec-B was adjusted a little on the high boost setting. I noticed that I hit damn near 20psi on my boost gauge (scared the crap out of me).

Is it safe to run that much? I'm on the stock turbo (which i've read past usefulness around14.5-15psi)

So I'm just checking.

The motor itself will hold 20 psi no problem but the stock turbo, MAF, injectors will crap out far short of that. Around 14 psi is tops for the stock setup assuming you have a FMIC and upgraded fuel pump. 10psi if you are still running the stock sidemount and upgraded fuel pump. And 7psi if you are running the stock pump.
