Hi

Does anybody know how much the stock wheel weighs on the 08 2.5 coupe? Im thinking about getting some 18" wheels, but if they weigh a whole lot more, i might just stick with 17's. I kow the 18" zunik chrome wheels i want weigh 28.0 lbs. somebody please help

If i had to guess i think the stock wheels weigh 26 pounds. 28 pounds for an after market rim seem heavy imo.

26 lbs for a steelie??? no way

I believe the 2.5 wheels are like 18ish and the tires are another 20 or so.

and 28 lbs is very heavy for an aftermarket rim. that will def effect your fuel economy and your performance.

My new rims weigh about 23lbs (18's) and my tires are 24lbs. so i added about 9lbs to each wheel and i did notice my gas mileage decrease when i put my wheels on.

Do some research on the rims you like and also what tires your gonna get as wheel and tire weight is very important. I would suggest looking at more than just one website for each.

My 20s are heavy and weigh 28lbs i believe... an 18 should be lighter IMO... in addition an 18" tire will weigh more than a 20" tire (i think, right?) so your gonna be real heavy on a 18" wheel weighing in at 28...

Unsprung weight is something that is affected by this, its not totally bonkers though..

seems to make sense. what kind of wheels do you have on your coupe? I think most alloys will weigh less than chrome..

i have Konig Unknowns. Any manufacturer will have different weights depending on each rim. ive seen some 20" rims weigh up to 38lbs and 19ish weight 6lbs (of course those were i think about 3g's a piece....lol)

Just look around at different styles you like and keep your eye on the weight if its really important to you

Went from original to some Sterns. I got a great deal with brand new tires and hub rings . . . seemed to good to be true. At first seemed very heavy but after a bit they actually did not seem to bad (or i just got use to the new feel). I will try and get some Mpg rates with my new wheels. i was averaging about 26 with originals both city and highway. I don't think the added weight will hurt me too much but they defiantly feel a lot better on the road and the corners which makes them all worth it.

only if you try to keep the stock wheel/tire ratio and only if you don't go wider than stock
