Wasn't there a B14 Sunny that came with an SR20 from the factory? Try and have one imported from a Nissan Pulsar.

Welcome, pics of car/Trinidad

Intake, exhaust, header, and cams are all available. They have been turbo'd with some success.

How much power do you want? More importantly, what are your goals for the car? Is this a DD that needs a bit more pep, a race car you're prepping, or what stage would you describe it as in-between?

If you want big power, your best bet is to ditch the GA16 for an SR20.

Blue top is a VE, not a DET. I noticed your thread in Sentra Gen, so hop on in there and we'll get you all squared away.

DET's are out of Bluebirds (Altima chassis) and Pulsars (Pulsar chassis, no US relative). I don't ever seen Sunny DET's around, and I don't think they existed, though I could be wrong. If so, the BB's and Pulsars are far more common to get ahold of.

Welcome to NICO!

Yes, you could. We generally recommend Soko engines - http://soko.com

There's another site too, I don't recall the name. Take a look at our sponsors (link is the third in my signature below my first post in this thread) and do a bit of searching to see who else is a credible engine vendor.

VE's are very cool swaps. Not a whole lot of people have them because most people want turbo power.

What are your goals for this car?

I'm merging this thread with your other one in Sentra Gen.

If you plan on doing an SR swap at any point, you might as well leave the stock engine alone and save the cash for the SR.

Intake - I think Injen and AEM make one, but I honestly don't remember. Google will pop some up.

Exhaust - Any that fit an SE-R should fit yours as well. BRM, VRS, Greddy, among others.

Header - SSAutochrome makes one, not sure who else.

Cams - Jim Wolf Technology

Intake - Injen has one. It's IS1960BLK or something

Exhaust - Nopi sells them. Only thing is, they come about 8 inches short for some reason, so you'll have to weld a piece of metal piping on there. Not very difficult.

Springs - Tein and Eibach make them, though there are 2 versions, one drops 1.9" and the other 3.6".

Clutch kit - ACT makes 'em.

Contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions. I'll be more than happy to help a fellow B14 owner.

Best of luck to you chap!

Your link to the NOPI exhaust doesn't work because of how NOPI displays its search results.

That said, I would avoid the exhaust I found on NOPI (#1 "N1-Style" exhaust). No offense, but rip-off N1's use cheap muffler and resonator materials. It'll sound fine for a little while, but it will deteriorate quickly and sound like a bunch of bees in a fart. It also doesn't offer any better (if even the same) performance as a higher quality exhaust, so you're better off paying a bit more to save headaches later.

Really? I'm running at 150 hp now with the exhaust and I've had it for about 5 months. Still sounds beautiful. Perhaps they changed the materials?

I'unno, but mine sounds great and provides a pretty good power gain.

What others would you suggest?

I said any better performance. Exhausts really are about the same across the board since they use very nearly the same routing, similar diameters, etc.

Like I said earlier, BRM, VRS, Greddy, and to add a few more - Stromung, HKS, etc.

I could be wrong, but I've never heard a generic exhaust from NOPI that sounded good to begin with (though I'm certain there are counterexamples), much less after a while of usage.

Again, I could be wrong, and certainly would love any contribution to the exhaust thread index if you have a clip (link in Table of Contents).
