I have Stillen, I like it.

Will not affect your warranty.

The warranty thing should not be effected by an exhaust, unless the problem is caused directly by the exhaust replacement. This also depends on your dealerships, some are mod friendly, some aren't. Especially for NISMO, an official nissan part.

NISMO is a much louder and deeper sound than the stillen exhaust.

The stillen exhaust makes less "noise" but has a bigger visual presense, where is the nismo exhaust looks almost stock from a distance. Stillen is also probably more performance based.

Barca1290,

I see you live in San Jose. Me too. I'd be happy to let you hear/see/drive it in person. I have the 3.5 and the sound depends on the engine too. My car is completely stock except for the NISMO exhuast.

I see you live in San Jose too. So why didn't you and barca come out to our norcal meet? There's another meet at the end of this month, check the norcal car show thread...

And go with NISMO!!! Sounds so much sexier imo

Something came up and I couldn't do the San Jose meet. I wanted to. But couldn't. I'm down for the SF on the 28th though. I'm actually moving up there next week and could use some friends as I don't know anyone in SF.

It's called the Magnusson-Moss Act of 1975. Dealerships cannot simply say your warranty is void because of an aftermarket part, but instead are forced to prove that the aftermarket part was the direct source of the problem. If they cannot prove it was the source of the problem, they are required to honor the warranty and repair the vehicle.

Also, the NISMO exhaust is covered under warranty, since it is Nissan made; I double checked with the parts/services director at my local stealership on that one. I believe it also has a 1yr/10k mile warranty on the part itself.

The meet is Feb 28th in SF @ WekFest, we'll be checking out the show and then off to take some pics. We're going to try and get there early for parking though, gotta figure out the time. The thread can be found here:http://forums.altimas.org/zero...71700

also, the greddy sounds nice with a ypipe... much less ricey than without it. and that AEM intake is loud.you have a walkthrough on the homemade grounding kit though?

yeah i think i will make it for sfwerk .... the lightweight pulley improved my accell, feels like my engine pulls harder. stillen states up to 10whp....as for the grounding kit, just go to stillen website and peep out the instructions, then buy either 8-4 gauge wire, and crimp rings. i also used a metal brush drill head to scrape off the paint on the contact points.

the axel back is pretty loud in the 2-3k range...you might like it. it's not obnoxiously loud either...has a nice tone to it.
