Gotta disagree here guys. Handling is all about changing direction, and more weight means it's harder to get it going in a new direction. FWD cars have a greater percentage of weight on the front end, therefore FRONT end modifications will produce better overall results. Stiffening your rear end to the point that it breaks loose and oversteers as a method of conteracting the inherrent understeer may feel cool, but it won't get you around the corner faster.
The only reason a RSB exists instead of a front is because it can actually be swapped out easily, not because it's the best mod to do.
Well then I cordially disagree with your disagreement! haha When you're getting into swaybars and whatnot, improving handling is about stiffening your frame/chassis, as well as balancing the oversteer/understeer. Since FWD cars by their very nature tend toward understeer, a stiffened rear will balance that out accordingly. I'll admit that 40lb RSB I had on my Toyota was too much for some people though. As far as I know, there were only two or three of us on the forums that had that particular one. I can also attest to the fact that while my front end mods in that car helped with chassis flex, it was the RSB that helped me smoke most "performance" cars in the twisties and auto-x. Of course, some FWD cars will benefit from particular mods more than others simply based on their design and build from the factory.
To everyone else......knock off all the GB queries! Ya bunch 'o vultures! What if, for the first post of any new product, we simply have a poll with YES! GB ASAP!!! and Eh...not really feeling it just yet. I'm sick of seeing that there's a new post in a thread that I'm watching, only to have it asking "Is there gonna be a GB soon?!?!?"...I'm not particularly a fan of most "rules", but the GB policy that Brian keeps patiently (wow, so incredibly patiently) pointing out is one that y'all need to be paying attention to!
