Those that have them, how much did it cost you and how many days did you have to go without a car while it was installed/painted?

I have had stillen's rear wing and roof wing for a year now and i have had to take the rear off twice for fear that is going to come while im driving. Not a fan of the 3m tape it blows and mine was not contoured correctly.I failed to notice this until after i got it painted. I have only had to take the roof wing off once. So as of now my deck wing is at parents house until i decide to re-tape it ( which is massive pain in the A$$). I paided $300 because special type clear coat paint was needed so it would not crack as it flexes. <<<---- That may be a load of B.s on Maaco's part but it is still flawless no cracks, chips or anything. If you want picture i will put them up later.
P.s not whining about Stillen because they are the $hit, just bad luck on my part, you really can't put it on first and then get it painted lol but they would have sent me another one if i would have waited for paint.

I dont really understand this... Your saying it must be painted before install? I'm cool with that, however isn't their more chance that it may not color match correctly?

on teh driver side you can find color code for your car , the shop will look for color code frist then they will find exact match color so you don't have to worry about color not match correctly

I had my rear wing and lip painted I think each were like $150 bucks. As far as having it installed first, I dunno if thats really necessiarly, its not like you are getting a door painted, just a small body piece. I had mine painted first before I installed it.

The key to proper installation is making sure the surface is clean and before you start ripping off the tape you have it exactly countored onto the vehicle. 3m Tape is more then good enough to keep the lip, rear wing, deck wing and rear corners on if applied properly. Also some adhesion promoter would help.

Ye i got my Stillen Lip and rear wing painted for $250 for both, and installed myself.
The install really isnt that bad just make sure you clean the surface first and be careful on the rear wing cause if you dont get the angle of the wing perfect it will start to lift from the bottom like mine is, but it has still held so dont worry to much.
P.S. get a friend to help you especially with the front lip, because it is rather hard if you try to put it on yourself because it is so big
