Stillen Intake - GOT IT!

m79kaplan hooked me up! and I juss got the sh*t - and its sturdy as hell! I've had a lot of intakes in the past, and ALL have been flimsy, and this one is heavy and durable (not extremely heavy)... but its definitely good quality... I'll post up pics and vid when I install tonight.



THE install was easy... the bracket placement - impossible for me. I don't have anything close enuff on my 2.5 6MT to bolt onto with out bending the bracket, and I don't have anythin to bend the bracket with. the fit of the intake as a whole is good, but the bracket problem doesn't leave with a good impression about Stillen. I should've waited for NISMO/AEM BUUUUT I couldn't pass up the deal on this intake. BTW, I just bolted the bracket to the intake as instructed and SAT it on the Battery harness which holds it up a bit. but when you shift hard the transmission kicks the SHIYET out of the intake LOL

ON THE OTHER HAND, the performance gain is awesome, the gas is ON TAP. The peddle feels LIGHT and responsive and the car definitely breathes VERY well - but that's because the intake filter is K&N - little to do with our buddies at Stillen

AND the sound it makes at full throttle and above 3500 RPMs - BEAUTIFUL.

me neither lol It's powder coated silver, and the filter is K&N... so it should be great...

I just got mine today as well. It was a surprise present from my husband. WOOHOO! That is always a nice thing to come home to.....mods for MY car. lol. Thanks!Hopefully, I can install it tomorrow. (and Im not paying anyone to install it either!)

I will... I just sprayed the polished tubing flat black last night with a couple coats... two more today, and I'll install. **I would have done it last night BUT I got a f*ckin flat tire when I was done with my HIDs...
