Stillen high flow intake

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Had a cold air intake in my G35 coupe and loved the exhaust note and miss that in the EX. Stillen has announced an intake for the EX. Anyone here heard any info or interested in a group buy if we could get one going? Just a thought.

Sounds good. Could you post more info about it? Also, does anyone know if that will void the mfg warranty?

I had a Jim Wolf Tech pop charger on my Murano and really liked it. I'm not sure if I'm ready to modify the EX yet.

I'm going to wait for the long tube version. It will look nicer in the car.

That is way too much for an intake even though it is the price for two. Over $400. Wow. Unbelievable.

Kyle,

Any chance of getting a special discount for members of this forum?

We are always open to things of this nature. We just ran a special promotion for the Altima's and got great feedback.

How many people would be interested in some sort of special pricing?

Please do not say that the price needs to be $200.00 shipped...That's just not realistic. I don't know what the price break would be, it really just depends on the interest.

I am interested in the long tube version if the price is right. I don't mean a ridiculous price either.

I'd love to get in on the high flow intake. How does it sound in a small car? I just got my EX, been driving a Corvette.

Do you have a chart that shows how many HP improvement for that Stillen

tubing and K&n filter?

It looks like about a 5 HP gain:

Looking at the dyno chart, it`s seems like the baseline run temp. is about 7 degree F hotter than the Stillen run. Will a 7 degrees difference in temp affect the HP ? If it does, maybe the gain in HP is bec. they dynoed the car 7 degrees cooler than the baseline run.

Can you really feel the difference with additional 5 HP? I don't think it's reasonable to spend $300/$400 just to gain 5 HP. Any thoughts?

oh yeah man that is bad....cooler and denser air on the stillen run.

with such a weak gain I'd want to see another chart with equal environmental conditions. Hell, I can probably eek out 1-2 more hp with just cooler denser air.

I think the dyno runs here are "SAE corrected" meaning that the Humidity and Temperature is taken into account when showing the power numbers.

5HP isn't really worth $300-$400 and NO you can't feel it. You will definitely hear the intake though (it will sound awesome).

That being said, more important than th 5hp peak gain is the area under the curve which is much greater with the intake.

In the end though, I don't really think it's worth the money and hassles (your dealer may give you hassles for no reason just because you have the intake).

Has anyone actually purchased and installed one (or two, in this case) of these?

How much of a difference does it make to the exhaust note? I'm actually more interested in the sound than the minimal hp gains. Does this seem like a viable (and relatively cheap) method of getting a slightly more aggressive exhaust note?

Thanks.

I want one but price is too much for a 5 hp gain. I think with that price

I`m very determined to lose 50 IBS of my belly fat! that probably will gain

an additional 1/2 hp...

SeriOUsly, I like the kit very much... but for almost $500, you can get a

nice set of mb wheels that weighs 17 ibs. There you probably gain more HP

by lightening your load plus added external new looks!
