can anyone comment if the intake makes a noticeable difference to performance and mpg?

Since the filter can be cleaned, that will offset the cost for this intake. Just want to know if there's any impact.

The exahaust is nice. Wonder how it sounds?

I have a revving exhaust clip.. and I need to get an intake sound clip.. it's a completely different car.. it's awesome. I'll work on some videos.

The cars we've had have been CVT, which can't be dyno'd.. will work on getting a 6MT to see about dyno numbers, but there is definitely a difference. There is a ton of plastic baffling (to keep the non-enthusiasts from hearing much of the engine sound) that is removed, and all of that reduces restrictions and helps airflow.

Performance and MPG will go hand in hand.. as long as you can keep your right foot out of it to hear the awesome growl. LOL

This is hilarious. I don't recall Stillen doing much for the QG18 (126 hp/128 tq) in the B15 Sentra.. yet they will for a further detuned version with 122 hp, 127 tq in heavier models like the Versa and Cube. .....???....

I still read people giving crap to owners of B15 Sentras about modding the QG18 or doing any bolt-ons in Sentras, telling people to go get the SE-Rs... let's see when they bring the same hate to the Cubes and Versas or maybe they'll change their tune because it's not a Sentra anymore.

I suppose if the stock exhaust is restrictive and is the main reason for the detuned hp #s, then all this will do is unleash the full fury of the 126 bhp (haha) via aftermarket components. Hah.

well..... even know how much i want one of this intakes and i still have the oportunity to get a free one from either injen or aem i am not the most exited about it .....i think im getting old lol!

for now i dont feel like messing around with the engine part that deep, specially when i got it for the "save gas money" issue

the only bad thing is that later when i will ready for a intake im gonna be forced to spend the retail price lol!

Why would it? So many people mod their cars, if DONE CORRECTLY (which means no zip tying the exhaust onto the car to keep it form falling off and no removing catalytic converters so you can gain +.4 HP, there is no reason to void the warranty. That's unless you somehow manage to damage something during the installation or throw something out of whack in which case you probably don't even know what you're doing so don't mod your car.

Sooo... bottom line, no you cannot void your warranty UNLESS the dealership can prove your mods are the CAUSE for any faulty or damaged operation on the car. I think there is a certain law or clause, the name I forget right about now that refers to this specific situation.

yeah true, if you do it correctly the dealer wont find out, is kinda of a pain because i had to storage my oem exhaust and wheels in my house and then re install everything back, sometimes you have to pay for this

No modification will VOID your warranty. That's a common misconception and misnomer.

If a modification is determined to be the cause of a problem that would normally be covered under the manufacturer's warranty, then that repair would not be covered and the owner of the vehicle would be responsible.

For example, if you had an aftermarket exhaust and you have a headlight issue that is determined to be a warranty concern, the headlight would be repaired at no cost to you.

On the other hand, if you have an aftermarket air intake and you suck up water into the engine, that repair would likely not be covered by the warranty.

I talked to the dealership if adding an aftermarket intake system or exhaust will void the warranty and there response was no. As long as the part is installed correctly and didn't break the laws in the state. Stillen is a great dependable company that spends tons of cash on R&D and should be honored by Nissan. So talk to the dealership directly to find out more info.

the thing! is why will you even tell the dealer! you just dont say it lol!

enjoy-modiy-ruin-re mod oem-return (optional)= crash it street racing

imagine me going to the dealership and say my audi got a exhaust from the guys at magnaflow, and i throw away the oem intake and runing APR ecu upgrade.my audi never puts a step on the dealer for any kind of repairs i go to another experienced shop to service it.....

but i understand your point! it gets old to deal with extra stuff you shouldnt!

thats my main reazon why i backed out from putting an intake on the cube because once i start on the engine department i wont stop! is like a virus lol!

is up to you man remember in the end is your car, so whatever you want to do, do it, but do it rite

Totally agree but it's for my wife and its only for a little more HP when she takes her friends around. I noticed it slows down considerably with 4 passengers with some stuff in the back so just a little bit more hp should give the proper push to accelerate a little faster on the highway. Also I seriously know she will not try to go street racing or drifting in her cube; shes not Lil-bowwow

Awesome, when you do it can you youtube it so i can hear the sound of the exhaust on the outside and inside. My wife loves how it looks but she hates when the muffler drowns out her music and those vids would be a great help. I on the other hand loves the high revs, the wind rushing, and the sound of power (even though i have an N/A).

It's called The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
