Has anyone compared these two items? It would appear that the Stillen Hi-Flow with a spacer would provide better benifits than the Pop Charger and a spacer based on the information found at http://www.infinitipa.zoovy.com in the engine upgrades section. It is a little more cash but since I have the sedan it seems a considerable difference. Please let me know if there is any real world experience out there with the comparison.

Whichever one allows you to retain the stock air filter.

I dont think either of them allow for the stock air filter - they both look like the cone style filter. What is the benefit of the stock filter?

Uhhhh...Damn. That's the kind of data I like - however; that was a bit unexpected. Thanks again for the help.

I was actually curious about this too...Thanks for the info AZ. I just bought my G35X two weeks ago, but have been on this board everyday reading all the various posts. I was curious as to what kind/type of CAI everyone had, and if it was worth it to put one in.My Inifiniti dealer is offering the AEM CAI installed for $550 + taxes (labor is included)...but the stock air filter is removed. Is this worth it? or should I do it myself (not knowing anything on how to do "engine stuff")? and trying to find a CAI that can keep the stock air filter? Thanks.

Sure thing Frank!

I think for the money, I'd prefer the Z-tube with OEM airbox and a Motordyne spacer.

Denver, welcome aboard!!! A CAI is not a hard install - We can walk you through it if you get jammed up, and many of our sponsors can beat the dealer price.

Thanks AZ. So I don't think i quite get the concept of a CAI. Does the polished z-tube make it a Cold air, because I thought it was supposed to take air in from "away" from the engine heat?

Actually, the factory setup IS a CAI - See your "power duct"?

It draws from a high-pressure area behind the grille.

By switching to the Z-tube, you're not moving the area where air enters, you're just smoothing the path between the outside and the intake manifold.
