Check out how Stillen cheated a customer and what the head of customer service said to him:

http://www.b15sentra.net/forum...62712

I believe that a business must treat customers with the utmost respect unless the customer is just retarded or asking for something unrealistic. Stillen (pronounced STEALIN' from here on out) should have been much more respectful and gracious. That was the words of the customer service manager, too.

Disgusting.

Just wanted to tell everyone because I believe bad business must be reported to avoid similar future issues.

Stuff like that's all too common behavior among many different types of online retailers, and it sucks. Paying extra just to get an undamaged part is insane.

Is Stillen telling us that it's OK to spend an extra $50 or $100 just to get what we paid for the first time? I wonder if anyone can pinpoint the exact second when the words "customer service" lost all real meaning and just became part of a job title.

It's your right to speak out againsta company or anyone if you or someone you know was not treated well... freedom of speach... as long as you don't say anything to threaten them..

the sad part of this is that... this incident will not do anything to their sales...people will still buy their product..

I'll even go as far as to say that some people that read this thread or the original will STILL buy the product.... one incident will not effect a big company like Stillen...

I have always heard stories about stillen. They're a good company as long as you don't have a problem, which is sad.

I never have nor ever will buy from Stillen.

I can guarantee you that stillen's business will hurt if people take the time out to inform various message boards, not only nissan, but as we all know the Honda boards a freaking HUGE.

It's time these people are held accountable for bad products or no products at all.

Well i wont discuss anything like this on the boards, but if anyone wants to im me id be welcome to discuss it...

all i will say is read the warranty...."most" companies make it clear in their warranty that the customer is responsable for shipping the merchandise back...thats usually the case in any catagory of business...i know i've had to return stuff in the past, and that was always the deal....i'll get further into if need be, but not on the board.

but like i said....buy from rollhard.com then : )

But you bought yours that way :) I think Stillen and JWT are both a rip off in both price and quality. But that's just my opinion.

^ I'm with him. I dont have any desire to purchase any of the parts that they offer. You can get the same parts thru a different vender and they will be of the same quality, if not better, for a cheaper price.

I've never had any problems with Stillen. But I will admit, it's always easier when you can actually drive there.

Here's my little situation with stillen, although it may not be as bad as the one originally posted. I ordered a rear strut bar by greddy off of stillen's web site. I get the customer service rep that "ghost" got (i.e. Andrew of stillen). So he takes my order and what-not. And he says the item is in the warehouse and will be shipped out the following business day and should be in my front door within a week. Okay cool. I wait a month, not here so I call him and he says that he had to order it from japan cuz they ran out. ??? So another month comes by and still not here. Call him again, same story. Until over the third month, I call and complain that its taking too long, and I'm gonna cancel my order, but he says its been shipped already. So screw it, at least its coming soon. I finally get it a couple days later, and it turns out that the freakin strut bar he sent me is for a s13. Not an s14. Damnit, waited that long for nuthin.

wow, that really sucks. a friend of mine went to our local rice shop, Green Light Performance, and ordered some cheap CAI kit. well when he got it, nothing fit. turns out the guy who said he knew stuff about cars sold him the wrong one. so my friend had to take it back and he waited another few weeks and finally the right one came in.

I never liked Stillen anyways. I'm with you on this one Mad Sentra, I'll boycott "STEALIN." Just like I'm boycotting JIC and Walmart.

Ghost's post is unsettling. Since Stillen is a NICO advertiser, is there anyone from Stillen reading these posts that would care to respond? If not, perhaps someone should alert them about the thread ask them to share their side of the incident and clarify their return/replacement policies on defective parts.. Word of mouth can be very influential, and Ghost's post sounds sincere. If Stillen handles this professionally, and does the right thing, I'm sure they they could win back, or even gain new customers out of it.

I don't doubt the story. But all my experiences have been extremely good with STillen. Far better than a lot of online auto part retailers...most of whom always seem shady, don't return emails and like to apply hidden charges. Stillen went so far as to call me directly after placing my order to make sure they had the correct information listed before shipping and charging. After shipping they called to make sure the quality of the product was OK and that installation went smoothly. At the time the products I bought were also the cheapest I could find.
