I have some alternator whine in my 96 Maxima and have been told its just poor ground connections. Also the lights dim when the engine is just at idle.. So, should this kit get rid of my alternator whine and also give me the "extra torque" its advertising? Thanks!

i heard the ground kits combined with a voltage regulator are a good thing but the wining sound might mean that it's about to go. take it out and get it tested at your local parts store. might be that bat issue i had - making the alternator work too hard to keep a charge.

Well its not the alternator thats actually making the noise. Its coming through the speakers and when they are off the noise is gone. Its gets a higher pitch when the engine is reved up too. I think its just when the alt gaings speed and is generating more power the extra power has nowhere to go (if the grounds are bad) and makes the speakers whine??? I think..

But ya. will these be a good replacement for stock ones as well?

bingo. If u have installed sounds before then you know the closer you put ur wires together and the closer they are to moving parts (alternator, transmission, solenoids) the more interference they pick up and get transferred to your speakers. You may just need to adjust your wiring rather than changing all ur grounds cuz that is very time consuming

^^^^^ agreed make your own, but don't go to home depot to buy wire lol coz they have to be automotive wire oil resistant and the high temp, just get them off ebay i got 20pcs of gold plated rign terminals for i think $8 shipped and a 8guage 20ft wire for $10, that way you can get an exact wire length and make it much neater.
