Hey folks, those with the Stillen Front Fascia with the Stillen Mesh-- are you having any issues with it? I know some folks mentioned theirs was rusting... please elaborate/post pics!

I want to place mesh in my stillen front fascia but am unsure if I should go with stillens or buy some and cut it to size.

Any input/personal experiences would be appreciated.

Andy, buy some mesh, etching primer spray paint and black epoxy spray paint. There is enough material on the backside of the fascia to use a small self tapping screw and small fender washers to hold the mesh in place. Plus you'll have the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

I was the one who posted the thread about it rusting. After it was brought up Josh emailed me and told me that I must have gotten a batch that wasnt powdercoated properly.

The problem was resolved though. Josh mailed me a replacement set at no charge, and I havent had any problems with them since.

Very nice that stillen took care of you! If you don't mind could you take some closeups of your mesh and how it's mounted?

Are you honestly happy with the stillen mesh or would you recommend I purchase my own and fit it myself?

I'm worried about coverage of all holes on the fascia, spacing of the stillen mesh (in between the xxxxxxxx) being too large, fitment on the fascia, and most importantly-- strength of the mesh. I eat rocks now and again and I want the mesh to be able to handle a few hits and for me to be able to simply spray paint the chipped area black again without having to remove the mesh and flatten it out.

Any insight you can give would be appreciated. I know the mesh is cheap but I want to do my research before installing either way.

dont have a camera anymore(ex took it).so I cant post pics. but the coverage is perfect. The holes in the mesh are not diamond shaped like most, they are little octagons or hexagons(cant remember which and it is dark out.)

Over all, I am very happy with the Stillen mesh. I have seen Dangeris' mesh in person, and his looks great too. I guess it is up to you price/work involved wise on what you want to do.
