so has anyone heard any updates on the fascia sag being, gap under the headlights, and popping out of the side problems being solved by stillen? last I heard Kyle told rob vegan to let people know stillen was working on a fix for all the problems. this was at the stillen meet in So Cal a month or 2 ago. has anyone heard anything new yet?

Unsure about the front but my sides are starting to pop out a bit. The tape seems to be losing its adhesiveness.

My back left quarter piece actually came 1/4 of the way off and I had to buy some double sided tape to get it back on.

I'll take some photos later and post here of what I'm talking about.

I've been corresponding with Kyle about this for a while. they are still working on trying to figure out what is causing the problem.

So the guys at Stillen do know how to respond to an email??

Funny I emailed them about this over a year ago and again about 6 months ago, even contacted Margaret over the phone and I havent heard a single thing. Not even a "We're trying to fix the problem" email. I've given up on it and with Stillen.

Huge fail with their Customer Service

I'm kind of broke right now. later on when I have extra money to spend, I'm going to buy the ED side skirts or the AIT side skirts and get them molded on

Fixing the gaps on the sides were there is a bulge is easy. Unbolt the sides and pull the bumper sides a couple inches away from the fender. Drill a hole in the top part of the bumper where the bulge is then loop a zip tie though the hole it. Then find something in the inner fender to loop the zip tie around. Lock the zip tie together and then pull tight until the bulge gone and the bumper and fender are even. If there are multiple areas just drill a hole for each and zip tie away (but 1 zip tie per side should be just fine). I've done this to my car and have zero problems with the buldge since this. Took about 5 minutes per side to do. If you ever have to remove you bumper you just cut the zip ties. Some people say duct tape can fix anything. I disagree, zip ties can fix anything. I would see this as a perfectly acceptable fix for even stillen to release (as its not visible and easy to do).

Now for the the bumper sag I have no clue. Mine has a little bit of sag, but its not noticable to most people unless you really look. I just bent the center support bar up and back a little to componsate. I would think the only fix for the sag is to create a reinforced/modified center support bar.

im having the same problems with my fascia to this day i constantly have to pop back in the sides as well as the gap in the headlight. now the sag i was able to fix with support brackets but after some time it still starts to sag again.. i thought it was the paint job at first but i had my bumper painted twice already.. only thing i can think of that over time urethane materials especially in hot areas and during the summer months becomes very flexible and can deform and stay in that shape , because in the winter this seems to happens less. reason for not everyone experiencing this is this will only happened after a year or so and Wear and tear of driving / taking off the bumper and putting it back on 100 times doesn't help its the specific design and shape of the bumper its 2 pieces and not a ridged structure :/ stillin could have defiantly done some more r&d on the bumper and wear and tear/ Stress testing the bumper simply doesn't have enough support.. now the bottom piece of the fascia flexes a lot because its a hollow c shape so if you painted your center piece with regular say black paint over time the paint will chip and crack off especially if you hit pot holes specific where you have those 2 center supports pieces the guys at stillen must have had to rush the 3d modeling design and stress testing due to the unveiling of the car i think it was for sema in "08 if im not mistaken reason their car doesn't have these problems is because it sits their and is driven once in a blue moon its a show car.... i would have never designed the fascia like this i got my degree in this and just dont understand how they f*** up like this but i guess you get what you pay for its not a veilside kit... dont expect their to be some simple permanent fix for these problems just using double sided tape in some areas a 2x4 support cut to size to fit in the lower bottom part of the fascia , soon your side skirts will start falling of cuz dust will get in the gaps of the 3mm tape u could always use wooden bars cut to prop up the side skirts.. good luck guys keep waiting for a fix:rotfl .. UR ALL F U C K E D :lolling: :lolling: :lolling:

on a side not i love how the fascia with side skirts look aesthetically BUT STILLIN f*** up and rushed the r&d

i promise you guys their will be no perminit fix fix unless stillin has a recall and they redesign the whole bumper you want to fix some of the problems i can one day take pictures of how i had to remount the side skirts with some wood backing and trimming and the fascia as well .. i hope im wrong and they have a solution for all these problems..... i dont want to hate on stillin cuz they are a great company and have good support i have all their products on my car but everyone makes mistakes and they f*** up unfortunately on our expensive prob to get the product out asap you just accept it for what it is and deal with it ..

thats it im done with my rant i just spent way to much time and money fixing the problem that could have been avoided in the first place.....

This is too bad, and has discouraged me from buying an 08-09 AC all together. I hate the look of a stock 08-09, but absolutely love the aesthetic appeal of the stillen kit.

I will probably just wait until the '10 AC drop in price =(

That would be around... Right now since it's their end of the year sales. 11's are about to come out.

If thats the case then I'm going to have to agree with JDRosenberg that I want a partial refund. I've heard nothing but great things from Stillen and how great their fitment is so I jumped on getting the stillen front fascia when it came out. I was one of the first few people to buy it (took me over a year to get around to having it painted and installed though). I was expecting something that fits like stock, not something I have to use zip ties to hold together. I still like the front fascia and I'm happy I got it, but I just feel that I was cheated by not knowing I would have to use zip ties to fix SOME of the problems it has.
