I'm new here and I'm about to take the plung on an Altima Coupe 3.5SE. The only thing I'm not super fond of on the car is the front bumper. Looks a bit dumpy to me...but the rest of the car is beautiful.

I'm considering a Stillen front fascia and the side rockers. So this questionis aimed at anyone with experience with this product.

Questions:

#1 Is the Stillen product the only thing out there that I should consider? Any pics of other stuff?

#2 Also if I do choose Stillen....what about the fog lights. Are they lostin the install? Or is there a way to keep them on the car somehow?

#3 Is it a problem to mount the front liscense plate on the fascia?

Thanks for anyones help here.

1. There are only two kits out so far, Stillen and FoxMarketing. Of those, Stillen is made of higher quality polyurethane. Look for a Duraflex kit from Extreme Dimensions pretty soon; Loop is currently getting his ride prototyped by them.

2. The Stillen fascia eliminates the foglights, but with some creativity you might find a spot for them with some custom brackets.

3. It also eliminates the front plates, but those should be easy to mount. Might look ugly IMO.

Hope that helps... In my opinion Stillen has the best looking front fascia at the moment.

My state requires a front plate. I don't really want to go to the trouble of getting pulled over...so

Is it possible to mount a plate on this fascia? How would I do that?

ya anything is possible. if you look at your stock bumper there isn't even a place for the license plate, they just drill 2 holes in the stock bumper and give you a plastic thing to mount and thats where your license plate goes. if you want you can drill 2 holes in the stillen front fascia and just put the plastic piece your license plate is on. but what i'm going to do is put mesh in the grill and the bottom opening and then just zip tie the license plate to the mesh at the bottom opening of the bumper. i haven't installed my front fascia yet, it's just sitting in my friend's garage. the license plate is like 1 mm too big for the bottom opening but putting it in you could scratch the bumper so i'm going to shave down the top and bottom of the license plate a little and wrap the edges in electrical tape so i don't scratch the bumper putting it in. then it will be fine and look fine. your choice, drill 2 holes in your new still front fascia or put mesh and zip tie it to the mesh (i'm going the mesh route)

I would love to see a picture of that when you are done. That sounds interesting.

Anyway the license frame looks really clean on the fascia. I'm pleasantly surprised, in fact.

Yeah...thats very nice. Did you contour the back edge of the plate holder to match with the fascia or does it just appear that way.

I was photoshopin' my plate onto a picture of Adidas car and thought itlooked alright, but now that I see it for real....I'm not so concerned.

ya it's expensive, i got it on the special and it came out to $606.00 with tax and shipping

oh and it looks really good with the license plate holder and everything, i didnt think it would look that good. could you post another pic of it where you're like, standing right in front of it (to see it from a different angle)

Thanks I love my rims. And no I won't be dropping it, way too may pot holes here up north, also I do more field driving and i'm sure most if not all of you (I scraped the bottom of the fascia just today driving down a really steep grass hill)

No mods required, straight off the stock bumper onto the new one

So I've been noticing that the fascia doesn't look like it fits right.

If you look at all the pics I've seen on this forum the center of the grilletends to sag just a bit under the hood.

Is that just a bad install, or is it a design flaw, or is it meant to be that way.

Looks odd to me.

Anyone have a pic where it matches flush with the hood?

heres a pic i found online of a stock Altima coupe

and here is a pic of my car when i was test fitting the stillen front fascia

doesn't seem like any real difference as far as bumper sag.

maybe a tiny difference after looking at the 2 for a while but i think thats just cuz of the angle of the silver car versus the angle of my car.

You would think for the money you pay, they'd of made a mesh to cover the radiator, it's kinda an eye-sore from that low angle seeing it like that. Not to mention all the rocks it's going to eat while you drive...

I know some of you are going to say, you can install a mesh to cover it yourself... but why didn't it come with it from the begining is all I'm asking?

I thought I saw on their site that it did come with a mesh now. Doesn't it?

Hey guys,

We do currently offer an additional mesh piece for the fascia. We don't include this in the kits because we know some people will want to do their own thing and won't need it.

I do see that the instructions now include "OPTIONAL LOWER MESH GRILL". How do we go about obtaining this?

Yeah... I need to order that. I don't like the exposed radiator.

How do I get that?

No way man. The front license plate does not look clean on ANY fascia, Stillen or stock.

If/When I get the stillen bumper after they make the better grille... I will not put the license plate on. I'll just drive around hoping I evade the ticket by using the same excuse Adidas does. And even if I do get a ticket for it... it's only 10 dollars.

why don't you just cut the bars and put mesh? i would have already done it but i'm a little short on cash right now. my friend said he saw a silver A/C with the stillen Fascia and no bars (just mesh) in downtown sacramento the other day. it's not that hard, you'll have a couple holes on the side of the grill (like in the pics i showed in another thread) but any good body shop will fix that in no time.

Josh, seeing how you guys now have the mesh for the lower, do you have any pictures of it? How is it attached or is that up to those of us who want the lower grille.

To order the lower grills just call in and speak with any of our reps. They will get them for you. We hope to have them on the website shortly.

So, the bumper has bosses in it as described in the instructions? Tried zooming in but it gets to blurry. I'd be a little weary of drilling into the bumper on an angle to hold this thing in with all the wind resistance, possibly snow in my area (would probably remove for winter).
