got into an accident a few months back they ordered another fascia and the body shop painted it wrong the paint started chipping everywhere i know dangeris had the same problem but how is it suppose to be painted exactly??? some one help out chime in please i dont have the paint instructions anymore the body shop threw em out.

Mr Coupe.. i think i saw you yesterday... somewhere on my way back to LI from manhattan.. you were going the other way... if it was you, i couldnt see the bottom half of car bc of divider..

sounds like the paint didnt have any flex agent stuff mixed in....

It's going to be one or more of the following three things.

1) They did not properly clean the part and prepare it for paint.

2) They did not use a flex agent in the paint.

3) (most likely) They did not use primer...This is the most common occurence. Painters think they can use an "adhesion promoter." This stuff is complete crap and does not work!!! We have been making urethane for 22 years and we know how to properly paint it...It requires primer! NOT "ADHESION PROMOTER."

i was on the FDR Drive going to brooklyn were you on that part of manhattan?

Yup, mines holding up fine, after 6 months and 8,000 miles, with all the right painting procedures. Make them do it right bro!

yea i told u blake that macco did a good job i just wish i took it to them after the acident instead of this body shop smh

Arent you saying its chipping now with the macco paint job? Or are you saying I took it to Macco?

Hes saying he took it to Macco the first time he got the fascia and they did it right. After his accident he took his 2nd fascia to another shop and they f'd up.
