I'm the ugly one in front of the camera, Josh is the one behind the camera...

After we did this little clip Josh and I discussed this further and we tried again to come up with some ideas on how we could possibly make a grill for this car and unfortunately, we just can't seem to get past that center post. That post will dictate the curvature (sp) of the grill and in my opinion, it would look really weird if we tried to build anything that kept that center post. Then, if we cut that post...You lose alot of strength and support for the fascia. It's kind of a catch 22.

I'm not asking for it to be perfect on every mass-produced piece... just mine

Haha, j/k... If a new grille is not possible, would it be feasible to have some more sketches of more full fascia ideas? I'm not a big fan of the current one (it is a nice design, but it doesn't really do it for me)

Thanks for the detailed video and not slacking on the awesome quality.

haha, just kidding kyle. Thanks for the video explanation as there's been a lot of people getting carried away with why there aren't more grill options. i personally don't really care for the stock grill, but it's not so bad to the point of it making the whole car look ugly. color matching it is an option which i think looks good and the stillen front fascia is also a grill option. by the way kyle? any heads up on what you guys have planned next for our coupes since the grill is a no go?

Kyle, what about building the outline of the grill out of reinforced urethane? I would think putting a metal outline around interior of the grill would give it more than substantial reinforcement in the middle? The top part of the fascia being made out of ABS plastic it shouldn't need much support at all. I have a few ideas for you guys. I will call you about it tomorrow.

Blake-

We have considered that. I got really excited this morning and thought I had a brilliant idea. So Josh and I walked out to the warehouse to look at the fascia again and see how feasible my idea is. Unfortunately...It's only possible if that center bar gets cut out and there arent very many people interested in doing it.

I thought about a way to make a urethane cap for both the top and bottom that could be color matched. Cut the center section out and boom, it's done...However, most people don't want to cut that center section out. Also, even though it's ABS plastic, it will sage. And, I gaurantee that at freeway speed or higher it will flap and potentiall damage the surround.

If you guys are open to the idea of cutting the factory fascia up, painting the urethane pieces to color match everything and spending around $200-250 for the grill. Another 100 or so for paint...Then we could probably make something.

Kyle, I personally think anyone willing to got through the time to take the bumper off, removed the stock grill, and remove the mustache; will take the time to remove a piece of the stock fascia, to incorporate a piece they like better. Think back to the hood dampers, everyone cut out a section of their headlight support to make the bracket fit. Hundreds of successful orders, and not one person complained about having to cut away a piece of of the stock hardware. I whole heatedly believe this is a great step forward, and will be a major benefit to all parties involved

If you made a sick grill and all I had to do was cut out a dumb little piece, I am down. I would even come down to stillen and pay you guys to install it for me.

What about if you incorperated a similer brace built into the new grill. That way it could take the place of the old brace. Or just include some kind of bolt on rod to replace the brace. But I'm just throwing out some random ideas. You are the pro's and If you say that it isnt possible, then I guess we are just **** out of luck.

P.S. You guys have the best customer service I have ever seen and I am loving my new lip and spoiler. They are primed and just waiting on paint right now. So thanks again

dont mind the cutting, but what will the negative side of cutting the piece be? slight bump to the bumper causing the lower half of the bumper to rip off?

Ie. Front impact causing bumper to not only be damaged but to fall towards the ground and under the front body of the car? without that center support is there any otehr way to support the bumper back to the front of the car clip? how come the altima sedans have no problem with this >< ><
