hmm, only the Sedan CatBack is available at 810, about the same price as Nismo

There are a few people with the Stillen. I think the biggest reason more people don't have it is the price. Stillen is a good brand. If you wait a few more months, i'm sure other brands will be bringing systems out. I am waiting for the Borla system to come out myself.

Search the forum, there are lots of threads involving the Stillen catback

they have a system for the coupe.. it says to call to inquire about the price. yeh i was thinking of getting a borla system too, but they seem to hang really low.. kinda makes it look untidy, but maybe it's different for different rides. thanks for your help!

Stillen is a very reputable brand. Kind of priced high, but it is of good quality.

Axle-back is $300 less, but I would go for the cat-back if I had the cash. How much is that borla exhaust?

Please excuse my ignorance, I'm knowledgeable in some areas, not so knowledgeable in other areas.

How much realistic real world gains in HP and torque would you expect to see from the cat back vs the axle back?

Many thanks for your assistance!

Honestly, not very much. Manufacturer's may claim "up to 20+ HP" but come on, we all know that's not true, well at least MOST of us know that's not true. I'd guesstimate a realistic number to be around 10-12 HP with a cat-back, and probably not much difference with an axle-back. But I'm sure some will chime in and say that they'll gain 15-20+HP with an exhaust

But, when/if headers become available, running them with hi-flow cats and a cat-back should add substantial power over stock. Along with an intake, you're looking at maybe 20 to 30 ponies

i have the stillen exhaust..... as far as gains go, not too sure....i figure it would probably have a few whp increase over oem since it eliminate the flat spot by the rear sway bar.... sound, its reallly quiet..... which is what i wanted.... i hope the clips will work..... With the exhaust and injen intake my car made 241 whp uncorrected on a dynojet, and 249 whp corrected.....excuse my outdated digi cam, it only take 20 second clips

Thanks Eric, so realistically, I should expect a realistic 15hp gain between the combination of intake and cat back, right! Hmm, that'll put her at about 285... sounds nice.

What were you getting before the mods? That'll give me a good point of comparison!

The Borla system isn't out yet, so i don't know what price they will come in at. Adidas on this site has a prototype version of it, so he may be able to give some more info on it.

I'd be shocked if the catback made much of a difference over the axle back. The difference would be very small if anything at all.

before the mods i never dynoed, sorry but.... i'm guessing about 228-234 because usually thats what the 03-04 g coupes put down and according to old horse power ratings our 3.5's would be around 280 flywheel stock 2-3 years ago.....we need a reflash and headers dependant on racepipes or high flow cats you'll see about a 25 - 35 whp bump with a later torque curve band....... i give these cars alot of credit.... they haul *** for what they are, coming from someone who just sold their 427 whp WRX STi (pump gas 19 psi GT35R) w/ meth and pump 562 whp (30 PSI)...... i would love some boost in this VQ but not sure how you'd get all the power to the ground being fwd, haha.... thats another mission in itself..

I really like the sound of that exhaust. Is it the catback Stillen? What made you go with Stillen? I'm currently trying to decide which exhaust to get, either Stillens catback or the Nismo Catback. I to have the Injen intake and love it.... Any opinions?

And is there any way you could get a few pics and more vids of the exhaust? It would help me out a lot! Thanks

yep its the stillen catback.... will definitely look into getting higher quality vids.... if i can borrow a friend's digi cam...... i went with stillen because i know they have a rep for making a good performance exhaust with minimal noise meaning less interior drone..... plus when headers are released and test pipes are fitted.... it will get louder and i want the car to be as quiet as can be...... the only problems i would see to the nismo exhaust is that it has the flat spot in the midpipe similar to the OEM setup.... jus my opinion.... take care and have a great weekend all

Stillen's doesn't drone? Someone else said it does hmm. Sounds nice but doesn't have that aggressive sound like Mossy has for the 3rd gen.

I actually liked the Stillen on my old car. No droning sound. It was a nice, subtle tone at partial throttle, and a very aggressive sound at WOT. At idle you could barely even hear it.
