i panicked when i saw they 2 of those isolators missing, good thing we found them off another old exhaust, but i might end up replacing those 2 because they've been out in the yard for a while

It's crazy that the Stillen project car is a 3.5 and had a resonator....Is it the only one out there? Anyone else out there have a 3.5 with a resonator? Just curious at this point.....

when i talked to Kyle, he told me Stillen's V6 was pre-production, therefore it may have been different

Similar problem...I have a black 3.5 Coupe CVT with Injen intake and Stillenaxel back exhaust. Awesome power over stock but at crusing speeds of 1700 to 2500 rpm there is a deep resonence inside the car. I am doing some work on sound absorbtion and vibration deadning. Specificly the trunk area and the gas tank heat shield that acts like a sounding board.

Asked for recommendation from Stillen, still waiting for a final reply. I think part of the reason is that the 2.5 and 3.5 use the same Mufflers and the problem lies with the 3.5. ( more overall db's) Putting on the rear wing this weekend.

I will keep you posted.

even after 1000 miles on it i still get annoyed sometimes. It seems that the droning is not all the time. It seems to get worse after driving a little while. I am looking at dynomat too but not sure if i'd have to get it only for the trunk or everywhere.

The drone is evident when you give the slighest increase in throttle position

But, there is some improvement with insulating the trunk. I have some samples of some materials I will be working with this Sat.

I am sure that vaiable silencers would be a major helphelp...but i have got to fine the right one/size. Do some reading on apexi silencers.
