For those of you who have the fascia, are you in an area where you're exposed to winter and the possibility of dragging some snow. I know the integrity of polyurethane is pretty tough but there's not a whole lot of support behind the bumper, epically with it being a two piece design. Stillen offers a life time warranty on their parts but I'm not sure if that's for product defect or if in includes the elements. Anyways, worried about the Stillen kit on my everyday driver in Wisconsin. Any opinions?

Getting mine installed tomorrow and it's currently 5 degrees with more snow on the way. Leave it to me to pimp my ride in winter!

Hopefully I won't be plowing anything but the Stillen fascia is only 1/2" lower than stock. I suspecting that by the time Eibcah releases their springs and I get it installed, it'll be mid march and the snow will be done in our area.

I told myself when I bought the car I'd keep the modding to minimum with an intake, exhaust, springs, wheels, and maybe a future nismo/factory lip kit. Since I've seen the full fascia my plans have changed in favor of the full body kit.

With the way they plow our roads and all the pot holes, good luck ..I would suggest a winter beater

After seeing the way some of the facias cracked during shipping, I would be worried about the extreme cold and how well it would stand up to mild snow impacts..some materials get alittle brittle when frozen. I like the look too but thats my concern.

Urethane can spider web or crack under cold temps. It can be fairly brittle. By chance you hit a pile of snow when your parking or if you hit a curb when you park I guarantee if its cold enough out you'll have some issues.

So what's Stillens warranty on this part? If it cracks because of cold weather/ a little bump will they cover it?

Warranty is on manufacturing defects, not incidental problems.

Additionally, any of this can happen under the same circumstances with the stock bumpers.

I would think any small defect in the material, something like porosity, would be magnified by the cold. They're charging enough for this kit and all the reps have stressed it's durability to impact, you'd think a it would be strong enough. My ex girlfriend had a full Kaminari body kit on her Scion tC and it took some pretty good blows never cracked. I guess only time will tell if Stillen cheeped out on the urethane. It's be nice to get a rep in here to clarify on what exactly is covered.

Hey guys,

Our urethane is EXTREMELY DURABLE. We have been making some of the highest quality urethane products in the aftermarket industry for the past 20+ years.

In fact, STILLEN was the first company to begin making urethane body kits for aftermarket applications.

As Shift pointed out...If it's cold enough even the factory fascia becomes more brittle. It's just the nature of urethane/plastics.

Our warranty is a lifetime warranty. However, if you run into a curb, you get into a car accident, someone hits you, any outside influence affects the bumper...That will not be covered by the warranty. If you're driving down the street and hit a snow bank...Not under warranty. If you walk outside in the morning and your fascia is just randomly cracked for no apparent reason other than it's cold...We'll cover it under warranty.

But, we can not be held responsible for outside influences damaging your fascia's.

after thought:

As far as the structure strength and support goes, it can easily support the weight of snow. If you walk out in the morning and you have snow on the front fascia, you shouldn't have any damage caused by the weight of the snow.

But again...If you run into a snowbank that's a different story...That would damage your factory fascia as well.
