I just pulled the alternator and got it rebuilt and put it back in but the car still wouldnt start. I pulled the plugs and they were covered in gas so i got a new set. Fired right up. It ran beautifully.... as long as the jumper cables were still on. I pulled the cables and it would run fine for about 30 seconds then stumble and loose all power... WTF? brand new alternator and it died. After that, my friend drove it down the street as far as he could get then when it died my ecu fell from where it was and cut half the wires... damnit bobby... so after i rewire i am going to have to figure out why its not charging... any ideas guys?

The biggest problem I've seen with people doing CA installs is their failure to make sure the engine is properly grounded. Another thing is botchy wiring jobs! If you don't wire up you car correctly, you will have dramas, so it sounds like you may have some of each.

Well you mentioned the ground to me a long time ago so i ran new grounds from 3 different places on the head and block using 8 gauge wire. But i do think that some wires on the ECU got messed up before so im going to go back, rewire it REALLY WELL and make sure its secure.
