New plugs, wires fuel filter. The car is getting spark to all cylinders. Car will crank but wont fire and there is a stong smell of gasoline. Checked the intake, flapper is not stuck, does open correctly, did notice some carbon build up. Used intake cleaner, which really didnt do too much, and also tried started fluid, but to no avail. Checked the fuel lines, car is getting proper fuel pressure. What am I missing here? Could it be the timing? Car started last saturday, I shut it off, and now nothing. Like I said, it just wanted to crank and crank, but just never fires. Thanks ahead of time

try holding the pedal to the floor and cranking it till it starts trying to start then gradually release the throttle while still cranking untill it starts completely and will run. you are flooded. you probably have something going on with either injector(s) stuck open, coolant sensor connection corroded or sensor out of spec, or airflow meter problems. air flow being the least likely problem. start by checking the coolnt temps connection. its on your intake near the front it has 2 wires to it.

i have been having the same problem. we took my car to nissan and they said my engine was flooded with gasoline. as far as getting the gasoline out of the car, can i just remove the spark plugs and let the engine sit there while the gas evaporates? does it take a long time for the gasoline to evaporate? as far as being flooded, could this have caused any other problems??

I tried holding the pedal to the floor with no luck. Im thinking it may be the injectors, in fact I recently replaced one, and Im wonderin if that is not the one giving me problems. It could be one of the other 3, the car has 150k on it, so I may just start looking for a new car and see if anyone wants to take this one off my hands. Thanks again, I will keep trying

did you reconnect the intake tube it has to be connected to the throttle body to start.

try dissconecting all the injectors and crank it a bit. no more then 10 secs per crank and also hold the pedal down. do not pull the fuel pump fuse at this point because you wanna know if it still recieves gas even with the injectors unplugged. if it does you have and injector leaking.
