Still waiting for Versa SL with ABS

We ordered our Versa SL in mid-Oct 2006 and were promised it by Dec. 24. On Dec. 23 we were informed our wait is extended to Feb. 07. And told that the ABS was the hold-up due to Nissan having a shortage of them - more orders for Versa with ABS than they had expected. Curious? Anyone else being told this too? We live in Wash. state.

That was very close to my situation. I was told that Nissan accepted the order for the car (Versa SL with CVT and ABS) and was given an order number and told they would call when Nissan came back with a VIN number. I was promised a car within 2-3 months and 3 months later the dealer still had no idea when or if the car would show up. It was a very frustrating experience all around and eventually I threw up my hands and bought a Honda Fit instead. I place the blame on Nissan rather than the dealer for what its worth. Good luck getting your car, but I would suggest looking into alternatives if Nissan keeps giving you the run around.
