Still not fixed? What is it?

ok short story guys, the car was blowing some blue smoke, so I Replaced head gasket with cometic, (head gasket was messed up) and i did smell some coolant before with oil, now I smell oil. head was inspected, and cut by machine shop a bit just so it was streight, after putting everythig back, replaced with new arp head studs of course, started the car, runs fine, but nothing changed, still blue smoke as it was before, yes i did drive the car for 30min jus tto make sure everything goes out!, motor is fully built rods/cams/pistons/studs/bored,

the only thing i can think of it is oil rings on pistons.. :-/ we did inspect piston walls everything did look normal. IF i knew i would pull the piston out ((

any ideas?

Sorry the guy we pay to answer questions in under an hour is taking an extended smoke break.

Valve seals or turbo seals are most likely, doubtful it has anything to do with your rings. Check your turbo first since its the easiest to check. Check the aft seal for oil leakage by removing the 6 bolts that hold the center cartridge to the exhaust housing. Take a flashlight and look behind the turbine itself on the shaft for signs of oil. You can also look at the backplate where the shaft goes into the CHRA.

Thanks for good replay, i appiciate it! I dont think i have problem with rings , Umm as far valve seals we did test it they are not bend and hold fine and they were adjusted per spec.

So if the turbo is blown it will smoke on idle? : see when i start the car it smokes a bit than it kidda goes away but there is still small amount of smoke. If im driving at normal speed it dosnt seem to smoke ones i punch it or slow down to stop and realase gas pedal it smokes.

I will definetly check on the turbo, might be it because it makes more sense, there is no shaft play on the turbo at all. im running RH t3/t4 mani/housing

if snail thats good!, Ill be happy! I remember disconnecting the downpipe from housing and i dont think there was any oil inside but i will double check on that, and 6 bolts that hold the center cartridge to the exhaust housing... Ill let you know guys

So most every time you start the car you get a puff of smoke? Does it smoke more if the car has been sitting overnight or for a longer period of time? Its almost for sure your valve seals if thats the case.

What do you mean you did a test on the valve seals hehe, they arnt bent? What?! Adjusted?!?

yeah check your valve seals.. my car did that when i was n/a! everytime i would start the car a big puff of white smoke.. when driving whenever i hit the gas from a light white smoke.. i had to put new cams in anyway, so when i went to do that i changed the valve seals!

Sounds like turbo seals to me as well. I had the exact same symptoms and it was an rear piston ring seal. Easy enough to rebuild, cocts like $100 for a genuine garret rebuild kit.

well guys we did compression test yesterday :-o cyl1 -150, cyl2 90!, cyl3 160, cyl4 160 ( sounds like rings to me. damnit. IF compression on cyl 2 would be fine the only thing i could think of is the turbo, another mechanic said that is not oil, he smell gas... (way way too rich? maybe) spark plugs are not wet BUT black.

The head was checked by machine shop, he found notthing wrong with it.

Im thinking just to buy a stock KA24DE and swap the turbo and few parts from the old one, im just sick with that pos motor.

So i guess is time for new engine, like i said could be turbo, I know the car runs Super Rich too. but that #1 and #2 cyl comp test got me worried, btw im runing MicroTECH ems.
