Modified a Ecotec 2.2L SC. It has alot of problems. Looking to acquire a Procharger from the B15 sentra's.wingedmark wrote:djtorello what supercharger did you use on your car and was it hard to install?
Not sure, Im getting dyno'd again in 2 weeks. last time, N/A, i was 186hp & 403tq, so im curious where i stand now.terrycs wrote:

IIRC the Sport Renaults that output that kinda juice dont use CVT. According to the wiki, the 227hp and Renault Sport 250 use 6 speed trannys. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%A9gane_Renault_Sportdjtorello wrote:the SE-R's already have an external transmission cooler. Not sure on the 2.0's, never really looked.
The Renaults turbo 2.0L is rated at 250hp and the crank, so im assuming the CVT can handle it.

Does it really seem logical for a company such as Nissan to extend the warranty AND reimburse anyone who has previously paid for repairs, so you do the math. Also, from the way I understand the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975, my warranty would remain, (unless the turbo could be proven to cause the failure).Spoolin4days wrote:Just to make it clear, the CVT in Altima's isn't super reliable, it seems Nissan extended the warranty because they know it. I know the CVT in Versas and 2.0 Sentras is a weaker version of the Altima unit, so you do the math. Not to down your ambitions but it isn't advisable to boost on it. Plus you'd void the warranty anyway.
Also, even this NicoClub member has a turbo in his B-16.unmei wrote:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3333913
this dude. completely built engine. it's all custom but if you're serious then contact him.
That's a bit extreme for my taste. Instead of replacing rods and pistons and going for 22 Psi, my choice would be to keep as stock as possible and run a little boost. Like I said, if I get to the 180 whp (about 200 shaft hp?) range it is more than enough.unmei wrote:http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3333913

There are a bunch of turbo b16 specs and 1 2.0 that i know of(converted to 6speed). Treadstone is releasing a kit for SER's and specs this year. They say that they put one on an SER(has cvt) and did fine at 303whp. No obvious transmission abuse.alperazzoli wrote:Bump!
Anybody tried something out yet?
Cheers mates
The CVT in the SE R IS 6 speed!VMPhil wrote:
I am not sure if the CVT in the Sentra is the same in the Maxima but if it is, that means the CVT should be good up to about 300hp \ 270ft. and again to all of those saying the Renaults do just fine, the ones you are talking about use 6 speed transmissions.

O i must have misunderstood the comment that made me think that(there is a thread about that they posted on another forum)chrisncgy86 wrote:I just got off the phone with Treadstone. The kit will not work with CVT
